Koen spent over 6 years in mergers & acquisitions at a top-tier investment bank in Amsterdam, London & Paris. Together with a group of investors, he later acquired a French SME through LBO transaction. He has co-run this company being involved all major strategic, financial, HR, production & commercial decisions while specifically focusing on international development.

In addition to his professional experience, Koen has analysed and advised entrepreneurial projects & start-ups in a personal capacity.

He holds degrees in Master in Law and Master in Applied Economics from Ghent University (Belgium) and speaks Dutch, English, French & German.
